The National Authority of the Litani River warned in a statement, “People of the Litani River are exposed to the health risks of swimming in the riverbed in the Tarfalsiyeh area in the lower basin of the river due to the flow of sewage from the municipality’s network into the riverbed near the Kamal resting place.”
And she demanded “to avoid swimming until the infringement and health hazard is removed, and samples are taken and analyzed,” declaring that “in conjunction with this warning, legal measures will be taken against pollutants from public and private agencies.”
