Learning a trade or training in it can be an excellent option to improve your income.
For this reason the New York City Carpenters Union is offering free training courses.
“We offer on-the-job training and classroom instruction to rank you among the best union carpenters, all while earning good pay. Sign up to be an apprentice today!
Interested parties must attend an in-person information session at the council’s training center located at 395 Hudson Street in Manhattan.
Sessions are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
At the conclusion of the information session, an access code will be given that will allow access to the online application.
You must be at least 17 years of age at the time of application. You must have a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma (such as TASC or GED). Must be physically capable of performing the job of the trade without posing a direct threat to the safety of themselves or others. They must attest in writing that they are physically capable of performing the work of a carpenter.
