Investigation Reveals Alleged Bribery in Professional Football Player Recruitment

Regarding the allegation that money and goods were exchanged in exchange for joining the players, the prosecution has additionally caught the suspicion that the incumbent CEO and scout manager of Ansan FC received back money and launched a compulsory investigation.

Detective Division 9 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Hyeon-a), in connection with the case of ‘bribe and other goods related to joining professional football’, reported today (18th) the office of Mr. Lee, CEO of Ansan FC in the 2nd professional football league, and Mr. The residence was searched and seized.

Previously, while investigating the fraudulent accusation against Mr. Choi, the prosecution discovered the allegations against former director Lim and started the investigation, and then seized additional charges against CEO Lee and others and started a search and seizure today.

Prosecutors are continuing to investigate the possibility that Choi made solicitations to other professional clubs.
