Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, a Turkish-made electric car, on the sidelines of his visit to Doha, on Tuesday, as part of his Gulf tour.
And the official Turkish Anatolia News Agency reported that Erdogan presented Sheikh Tamim with a blue Tog car, before their bilateral talks.
The agency indicated that blue is the first color of the Tog car, and bears the name “Gemlik”, an expression of the blue waters in the Gemlik region of Bursa, where the car’s factory is located.
The Turkish president and the Emir of Qatar inspected the car for a while in the courtyard of Lusail Palace in Doha, and Sheikh Tamim drove it, with Erdogan next to him. They also saw the ball of the World Cup final match between the Argentine and French teams, which bears the signature of the Argentine national team star, Lionel Messi.
The Turkish president gave Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman two electric cars of the same model during his visit to the Kingdom on Monday evening, one of which was white and he drove with Erdogan.
The white color refers to “Pamukkale”, where the white limestone rocks resemble cotton in the tourist area of Pamukkale in the state of Denizli, western Turkey, according to the Anadolu Agency.
