Books – Marwan Al-Tayeb:
The artist, Amr Saad, commented on the decision of the Syndicate of Musical Professions to cancel the concert of the American rapper, Travis Scott, which was scheduled to take place on Friday, July 28, in front of the pyramids.
Amr commented on the syndicate’s decision to cancel the concert and posted a post on his official Facebook account, in which he attacked the decision-makers, saying: “Canceling the license for Travis Scott’s concert in Egypt is a grave mistake, and no one has the right to make decisions for the Egyptians or speak on their behalf.”
He also apologized to “Scott”, saying: “I am an Egyptian artist. I apologize to this international singer and to the stars of the world and their followers who can see the Egyptians in a backward and backward manner.”
He ended his speech by saying, “I tell them that Egypt is much greater than that, and that this people is a people who love their guests and are generous, and that Egypt is the land of arts and civilizations.”
A wide campaign was launched by many social media pioneers, hours after it was officially announced that a huge concert would be held for American rapper Travis Scott on his first visit to Egypt, where he was scheduled to promote his latest album this year, entitled “Utopia”.
A source from the organizing company also commented in an exclusive statement to “Masrawy” about the cancellation of Travis Scott’s concert and confirmed, saying: “We have not officially received any notification regarding the concert.”
While Scott wrote on his official Twitter account: “Whether this is real or fake, I’m going to bed, see you all in about 9 hours when Ticketmarchy releases an official statement.”
