— Finished the Euro with bitterness. It was very difficult, we lost the last game in the semifinals. We could and wanted more, but we completed a certain task – we entered the Olympics. Let’s just say they wrote their name into history. But this is not enough. It was a big step for our team and we did an incredible job. And the fact that we reached the semi-finals of the Euro is also incredible.
After the match with France, we were very happy that we took such a step and won. And after the fight with Spain, I just drooped psychologically, physically and mentally. Somewhere after the 60th minute, when we were losing 3-1, we didn’t want to play, we wanted to finish this game. I realized that this is all. It was a blow. But we must forget this, draw conclusions. There is something to strive for, we must reach a new level in order to play with such opponents on an equal footing, – Sudakov said in a comment to the Shakhtar press service.
