The Skoda Scala and Kamiq have been in production for around four years, so the facelift comes at the usual time. The Czech automaker promises that, in addition to design retouches, the modernization will also bring technological improvements and elements from higher class cars.
Both models will arrive with redesigned headlights, front and rear bumpers and a revised grille. The entire modernization is also underlined by new light alloy wheels and inscriptions on the fifth door in the new Škoda brand style.
In the case of the Scala, the automaker mentions slimmer headlights that extend to the radiator grille. Painted parts now extend into the air intake in the front bumper, making the front bumper more defined. These design elements in body color can also be found in the diffuser on the redesigned rear bumper lined with crystal elements. The compact hatchback also boasts rear lights with a more sophisticated graphic design.
At Kamiq, the designers tried to emphasize its SUV features. The crossover gets a narrowed upper element of the characteristic two-part headlights with a sharper cut shape. The larger and more upright mask is complemented in the lower part by distinctive double slats in the shape of the letter U.

The black part of the bumper under the radiator grille and the air intake are meant to emphasize the width of the vehicle, while the silver diffuser sits lower to provide good chassis protection.
The rear diffuser has a wide upper part and is complemented by a massive silver cover in the lower parts. The modernized light signature of the split rear lights in the shape of the letter L visually follows the identically shaped reflectors.
