It’s been several months since very credible rumors claimed that this year’s Call of Duty game will actually be a sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, but Activision has refused to answer this… until now.
The series official Twitter account asked the following question a few hours ago:
“Should #MWII Operators, Weapons and Bundles continue in Call of Duty 2023?”
That should be enough to pique the curiosity of many CoD players, but the two options make it abundantly clear what’s going on:
“And”
“Yes, when is it revealed?”
This means that Activision has practically confirmed that Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, not to be confused with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from 2011, will be launched this autumn, while Treyarch’s Call of Duty is postponed until 2024.
We can expect to see the first trailer and get the first official details about the game in a few weeks.
