Some have already started hostilities in the Big Apple since Friday, but activity in New York showrooms and salons dedicated to men’s collections for spring-summer 2024 will really begin this Tuesday.

And faced with a complex market, players in the sector have decided to play together this season. No less than 13 salons and showrooms have decided to move forward together apart from this season by creating the United Men’s Fashion Association.
UMFA is a group of industry veterans passionate about revitalizing the menswear market in the United States. Created with the aim of reclaiming New York City as a hotspot for menswear and the community that surrounds it, the primary mission is to make this week in New York an unmissable event for all professionals in the sector, say the signatories in a letter of intent. “We will achieve this by bringing together the best salons, showrooms, and brands to share events, calendars, and resources to make the marketplace more cohesive, more productive, and more inspiring for everyone involved.”
These actors intend to propose events but also a visibility of this fashion week, in particular by setting up a joint communication and the diffusion of a plan allowing to navigate in the American city between the different places.
This initiative brings together Peregrine Showroom, We United, The Good Six, Westerlind, the J Squared group, Bloodworth & Co, Synergy Showroom, the Leary Forteau agency, the Black Dog agency as well as the Project and Society for international menswear or still well-known players in Europe such as the British from Welcome Edition and the French salon Man by Antoine Floch.
It is also at the top of the building that hosts the Man lounge, at 50 Varick Street, in the Spring Studios, that the event launching this collaboration between these different actors will take place on July 18.
