The US Department of Defense has awarded almost $100 million to Lockheed Martin under contract N0001923C0003. The funds are directed to purchases to support the construction and supply of fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II fighters.

The deal amounted to $95.53 million. The agreement is aimed at the purchase of materials, parts and components with a long delivery time, which are intended for the production of F-35 fighters of lot # 18 (Lot 18), which consists of 147 aircraft.
Lot 18 involves the construction and delivery of fifth generation aircraft for the Navy, Air Force, US Marine Corps and foreign customers. The work will be carried out at Lockheed Martin factories in Texas, Great Britain, Florida, California, New Hampshire and Maryland.
