The Tabernas City Council, in its commitment to culture and offering a quality leisure offer for residents and visitors, organizes the VIII edition of the ‘Teatro al Fresco’ Street Theater Festival. This theater festival reinforces the work of the Tabernas City Council to bring culture and leisure closer to the population, an initiative that is sponsored by the Almería Provincial Council.

theater al fresco will raise the curtain this Thursday at 9:00 p.m. in the schoolyard with the function Come on, no, nothing from the Granada company La Petite Producciones. A play that deals with an ordinary day in the home of an Andalusian family from the 70s, the actors will represent the family relationships of that time and how our parents and grandparents lived without the value of material things. A show telling in the key of humour, dance and theater that surprises with its unconventional format.

From Catalonia, the Industrial Teatrera will perform on Friday at 9:30 p.m. in Plaza Adolfo Suárez Inheritance. Two characters inside a garbage can… a tender and fun journey to transform our heritage, inviting reflection on the world we live in, and what we want to leave behind, through the clown and the circus.

On Saturday at 10 pm in the schoolyard it will be time for the Kiné Circus company from Ethiopia that will stage Greed. They are a group of committed performers who use the circus to explore the human condition by incorporating authentic Ethiopian cultural identity throughout their work. Acrobatics, fantasy, dance and vitality, in a show that infects the public with energy.

The Calle de Tabernas Theater Festival will end on Sunday, July 23, at 9:00 p.m. in the courtyard of CEIP Virgen de las Angustias, with the Jule performance by Hortzmuga Teatroa, a company from the Basque Country. In this representation, in a half-dismantled building, a tenant refuses to leave it. A dream or several to fulfill in this work where humor is combined with fantasy and imaginary to get closer to the public.
