The Potential Fall of Natural Gas Prices: Morgan Stanley Analysis Predicts 15 Euros/MWh this Winter

According to an analysis by the American bank Morgan Stanley, the price of natural gas could fall to 15 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) this winter in an extreme scenario.

The essence: Depending on a few factors, the price of natural gas will fall to the lowest point since the end of 2020, Morgan Stanley thinks.

If the weather continues to be warm and renewables perform strongly, prices could drop by about 40 percent from current prices, the analyst said.
