Journalists from the Tisk portal interviewed the Switchblade 300 operator. According to him, loitering ammunition is used in Ukraine by the SBU and GUR officers, as well as by the SSO fighters. Thus, the Switchblade 300 is not a simple weapon that can be used to hit anything.
The power of the drone warhead is comparable to the FOG. It comes with a low quality camera. In this regard, the target must be reconnoitered even before the launch of loitering ammunition. The Switchblade 300 operator must know exactly which target he is about to attack.
If possible, the target should be static or at least inactive. It is not easy to get loitering ammunition into a moving car. Typically, the Switchblade 300 is used to hit unprotected targets of value. We are talking about electronic warfare equipment, observation stations, expensive equipment and valuable personnel. According to the operator, spending scarce and rather expensive drones on ordinary infantrymen in the trenches is unprofessionalism, stupidity and waste.
