New details were witnessed in the incident of the disease symptoms that appeared on a number of the people of Naga Sanad in the village of Al-Aleqat in Qena Governorate, where an official medical source in the governorate confirmed that the disease is still mysterious, while the treatment provided to the injured targets symptoms, not a specific disease, and they range from high fever to pain in the flesh.
The source added that there is an exaggeration in the rates of rape, which did not exceed 67 cases among different age groups, while the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, directed the formation of a team of preventive and curative medicine to be present in the village.
According to medical sources in the governorate, it was confirmed that the infected cases receive treatment at home, and that the treatment period takes a maximum of a week, at a time when the city’s authorities deployed pesticide spraying vehicles to get rid of mosquitoes in two periods a day; Morning and evening, after rumors spread among the people about mosquitoes as a cause of disease transmission.
And an official source at the Directorate of Health and Population in Qena reported, Masrawy, that a medical team took samples from suspected cases of infection, to determine the causes of infection, while the results have not yet arrived.
And the Ministry of Health confirmed, in a brief statement through its official Facebook account today, Sunday, that it is following up the developments of the situation in the village, sending teams to control disease vectors, and examining samples of water and sanitation places, and the numbers of similar complaints have been counted, explaining that the symptoms are not present. They form a single pattern, and all of them have symptoms that range from mild to moderate, and do not require hospitalization.
The Ministry reassured citizens that the similar symptoms were high fever, bone pain, and fatigue, which lasted from 3 to 5 days, and are common symptoms of many common diseases such as cold and influenza, gastroenteritis and fever, which spread in conjunction with high weather temperatures. It goes away with rest, fever reducers, and fluids.
