Russian State Takes Control of “Danone” and “Carlsberg” Assets in Russia

The Russian state is establishing control over the assets in Russia of the French company “Danone” and the Danish company “Carlsberg”, which announced that they intend to withdraw from the Russian market after Russian forces invaded Ukraine, France Press reported, quoted by BTA.

This is clear from a decree published today, signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The decree was published on the Russian official online portal for legal information.

According to the decree, 98.56% of the shares of the Baltika brewing company, which belongs to Carlsberg, and tens of thousands of shares belonging to Danone, “temporarily” come under the control of the Russian state.
