In the last month, the network has been swept by a wave of discussions about the upcoming Baldur’s Gate III – the role-playing game from the Larian studio even managed to conquer the top 10 sales on Steam due to the “early access” version alone. Representatives of some studios, however, urged not to consider it a “new RPG standard”, noting that not every studio will be able to repeat such a success.
What Larian itself thinks about this statement is unclear, but the company definitely likes the way players heatedly discuss the game. The head of the studio, Sven Vincke, was pleased with the reaction of the players, and now about all these discussions spoke out studio publishing director Michael Daus. He believes that all the discussion around Baldur’s Gate 3 is good for both the market and the CRPG genre:
Recall that the release of Baldurʼs Gate 3 is expected on August 3, 2023 on PC, and on September 6 on PlayStation 5. A version for Xbox Series X|S is also in development, but Larian plans to release it “before the end of 2023” – with it The authors have problems.
