Tsunami Warning Issued after 7.3 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Alaska Coast

USGS The earthquake had its epicenter southwest of the town of Sand Point on the island of Popof, 988 kilometers from the state’s largest city, Anchorage.

The depth of the earthquake was measured at 9.3 kilometers.

The US authorities have issued a tsunami warning after the earthquake. So far, no damage to buildings or people has been reported.
