A tsunami warning has been issued after an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 hit the coast off Alaska in the USA on Sunday morning.
According to the US Earthquake Center USGS The earthquake had its epicenter southwest of the town of Sand Point on the island of Popof, 988 kilometers from the state’s largest city, Anchorage.
The depth of the earthquake was measured at 9.3 kilometers.
The US authorities have issued a tsunami warning after the earthquake. So far, no damage to buildings or people has been reported.
