A 29-year-old man was fatally injured by shots from a pellet gun in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, on the night of Friday to Saturday, AFP learned from police sources and the Bobigny prosecutor’s office.
Shortly after 3 a.m., the emergency services intervened for a person in cardio-respiratory arrest on the public highway, in this town located north of Paris, reported a police source. Despite treatment, the victim died at the scene.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the man was in the street when he was targeted by one or more individuals in a car, continued the same source. He was mortally wounded by several pellet shots, from the thigh to the shoulder. The man was 29 years old, said the Bobigny prosecution.
The number of suspects and the circumstances of the facts must be determined by the investigation opened for intentional homicide and entrusted to the department’s judicial police service, said the prosecution.
