At release, Forspoken was mostly outraged, but over time, some were still able to try the game.
The release version of Forspoken was unpleasantly surprised by its technical condition. On the PC, the game did not work very well, on the new generation PlayStation 5 console, there were also problems.
Forspoken was not abandoned and began to release patches. Digital Foundry decided return into a Square Enix game six months later.
For testing, Digital Foundry chose the PlayStation 5 version of Forspoken. In version 1.2, you can see a stable 30 FPS in Quality and RT modes (previously it often dropped to 20). In Performance mode, the game gives out 60 FPS in most battles.
The picture quality of Forspoken has also improved. Digital Foundry showed the difference in lighting and shadows in Quality mode between versions 1.0 and 1.2.
