FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Indonesian Mosque Council Youth Association (PRIMA DMI) became part of the Delegation of the Republic of Indonesia in the 2023 Organization Islamic Cooperation Culture Activity (OIC-CA) which was held on 7-14 July 2023 in DKI Jakarta and East Kalimantan.
PRIMA DMI representatives who took part in the activity were the General Chairperson of the PRIMA DMI Center, Munawar Khalil, together with the Director of Foreign Relations and International Partnerships, Affandi Ismail.
“There are many golden opportunities for youth in the future that can be sewn up with the OIC which has 56 members. Apart from that, we have learned to be diplomats in various fields. We hope that the participants will become future figures and diplomats to promote Indonesia to foreign countries,” said Munawar. Munawar also expressed his appreciation for OIC Youth Indonesia who had successfully become the committee and LO who accompanied each OIC-CA 2023 delegation.
Indonesia was honored by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretariat General to host the international event.
This event was attended by 56 delegates from OIC countries initiated and directly facilitated by the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports with the theme “Embracing Diversity and Promoting Harmony for a Brighter Future Society” involving all ministries/agencies and local governments.
All delegates were given various cultural, tourism and academic offerings in the form of international seminars and a simulation of the OIC Model session which can give an idea that all Indonesian people can live in harmony in the various differences that exist.
