Mavelikkara: The auto driver and the scooter passenger died after the scooter rammed into the overturned auto. The deceased have been identified as Harindran (46), an auto driver, Chennithala, Oripram, Kuttikishtan, and Athira Ajayan (22), the only daughter of ex-serviceman Ajayakumar and Preeta, a temporary employee of Kuttamperur Cooperative Bank, Thekekara Pallikal East, Palazhi.
The accident happened at Praikkara bridge around 3.25 pm on Saturday. Harindran’s auto came to Mavelikara and overturned on the bridge. Athira’s scooter hit the auto. Harindran suffered severe head injuries due to the impact and died on the spot. Athira, who was seriously injured, was rushed to the Mavelikkara District Hospital and later to the Vandanam Medical College Hospital, but he died. Wife of Harindra: Art. Son: Harikrishnan.
