The artist did not plan to stay abroad permanently.
Oleg Shtefanko began his career in the 80s and managed to take part in many films and series. One of the main projects in his career, viewers consider the paintings “Forester”, “In Search of Captain Grant” and, for example, “Scarecrow”. And not everyone knows that on his creative path there was a period of life in the United States.
The talented artist left for America in 1992. The film industry in the country was in crisis, so he went to conquer Hollywood to feed his family. But at first the actor’s career did not work out: he worked as a taxi driver, a waiter and starred in student films for free.
Stefanko was already planning to return to his homeland, but met Savely Kramarov and Oleg Vidov. And the masters of the Soviet stage convinced him to stay. The artist listened to his colleagues, moved to Los Angeles, changed his name to the sonorous Oleg Stefan and began to actively act in films.
In Hollywood, he took part in various shootings. He managed to collaborate with Julia Roberts, Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver. But over time, he nevertheless returned to Russia.
Today Stefanko works in both countries. One of his latest projects was Tetris with Taron Egerton and Nikita Efremov, as well as the TV series Mosgaz. Katran.
