Johan Derksen and Raymond Mens are discussing the production of a docuseries in the United States. Towards the 2024 American presidential election, Talpa is thinking of a travel program in which Derksen and Mens would go along the Mississippi together. According to Mens, whether that program will actually materialize still depends on two things.
The first point is: does Talpa actually think the docuseries fit into the programming? “I think so, by the way. I think they think so themselves, but it depends on that,” the America expert explains in the podcast From Communiqué’s. “And the most important thing is whether Johan has time for it, because Johan will have the whole year VI next year.”

Finding a hole in the summer will also be difficult, because Derksen will be present at De Oranjezomer during the European Championships. “It mainly depends on the latter, I must say. But if all those things fit together a bit like puzzle pieces, then I think: Well Raymond, then you haven’t done a bad job.”
Derksen left it earlier General Journal know that he sees the period around Christmas and New Years as an option, because he is free then. He also explained the concept of the program. “We received a proposal to go along the Mississippi together. On the way I would talk about music, the blues, country, bluegrass. Raymond would talk about politics in that area.”
