Since the start of the 2023 summer holidays, it has been possible to travel by Intercités for 19 euros. The operation is still in progress and allows in particular to travel between Rodez and Paris at this price. But be careful: it is coming to an end soon!
The news was announced by Clément Beaune, in person, at Paris-Austerlitz station, Friday July 7, 2023. The Minister of Transport took the microphone to formalize the launch of a device allowing to travel by Intercity day and by night… for 19 euros!
Paris – Rodez concerned…
“To make things easier, we are going to put on sale today 200,000 tickets at 19 euros on all Intercités, day and night. So try to make the most of it!”, declared the Minister. This represented a new excellence for Ruthenian travelers, since the line Paris – Rodez is part of the Intercités de nuit.
Indeed, Intercités trains serve no less than 135 destinations, with 14 lines. Seven by day, and seven by night. As a reminder, Here are the daytime ones:
Béziers – Clermont-Ferrand Nantes – Bordeaux Nantes – Lyon Toulouse – Hendaye Bordeaux – Toulouse – Marseille Paris – Clermont-Ferrand Paris – Limoges – Toulouse

Paris – Rodez
Paris – Latour-de-Carol Paris – Cerbère Paris – Lourdes-Hendaye Paris – Briançon Paris – Nice
… but not for long !
The operation, which began on July 7, concerns trips going until August 31, 2023. But to book these same tickets at 19 euros, the margin is much smaller. Their sale is coming to an end soon: it’s july 15th the operation completes. In other words, if you want to go to the capital at a lower cost this summer, you should not delay to get the tickets!
