Dragoljub Savic joins FK RFS in Latvia after leaving SK Rapid Vienna

Dragoljub Savic leaves SK Rapid Vienna.

The 22-year-old attacking player is moving to FK RFS in the Latvian capital Riga with immediate effect. At the former club of Kevin Friesenbichler and Tomas Simkovic, Savic received a contract until 2026. The multiple Serbian youth team player would have been tied to Hütteldorfer until 2025.

In 2019, the Green-Whites brought the then 18-year-old from the juniors of FK Vojvodina Novi Sad (Serbia) to the second team, for which he has made 74 competitive appearances since then. Savic played 58 of them in the Admiral 2nd division, where he scored five goals.

Only eleven short missions for Rapid professionals

The offensive player had to make do with a total of eleven short appearances with the professionals in the 2019/20, 20/21, 21/22 and 22/23 seasons Admiral Bundesliga with two appearances each over a total of 90 minutes (67 in the league, 23 in the UECL qualifiers).

Due to an injury, Savic was only used regularly in the second team from the spring season and completed twelve games (one goal) in the second highest Austrian league in 2022/23.
