While high-level talks between the US and China are resuming one after another, US climate change envoy John Kerry will visit China starting tomorrow (16th).
It is an attempt to restore dialogue channels on global issues following diplomacy and economy, and attention is focusing on whether it will lead to a successful US-China summit in the future.

US Climate Change Envoy John Kerry is visiting China for four days.
We plan to meet with our counterpart Xie Jianhua, China’s climate special envoy, and discuss global environmental issues such as greenhouse gas emissions.

Kerry’s visit is an extension of the move to resume high-level dialogue between the US and China following the visits of Secretary of State Blincoln and Treasury Secretary Yellen.
Among the dialogue channels between the US and China, which are divided into four areas: diplomacy, defense, economy, and global, communication is restored from diplomacy and economy to global issues.
The Republican Party, the opposition party, is attacking Kerry’s visit to China, claiming that he is playing with Chinese lies.
After Kerry’s special envoy, US Commerce Secretary Gina Lamondo is expected to visit China.
Lamondo has recently been identified as a victim of a Chinese e-mail hacking incident, but the United States is not stopping the move to resume communication with China.
The United States is also continuing behind-the-scenes contacts to resume dialogue in the last remaining military field.
If high-level communication channels in each field are successfully restored, there are observations that the first US-China summit will be held at the APEC meeting in San Francisco in November.
