The Fiat Topolino is another electric quad from the Stellantis group, following in the footsteps of Citroen and Opel, but its offering certainly stands out.
Those familiar with Italian will not be surprised to learn that Topolino is small, as in Italian it means small. Fiat has intended it this way, as this is the little brother of the Fiat 500, which takes design language inspiration from the first Fiat 500, offering a design whose motto is ‘less is more’.
The Fiat Topolino is designed for short journeys in and around densely populated European cities. If the 2.5 m long quadricycle with a 5.4 kWh battery that allows you to travel 75 km on a single charge, which will cost in Italy from 9,890 €, does not appeal only with its appearance, then Fiat offers it unusual accessories, including a “small shower”, which is “designed for those days spent on the beach along the Italian coast”. Other accessories include a USB fan, a Bluetooth speaker, a thermal water bottle and seat covers that double as beach towels.

Fiat Topolino aims to make young people fall in love with the ‘car’ again by appealing to the ‘Gen Z’ audience, who pay close attention to sustainability topics with a high sensitivity and desire for an environmentally friendly, personal, friendly driving and transport solution. 45 km/h and low autonomy may make many people smile, but pleasure slow cars are definitely a niche in which Fiat Topolino, Citroen Ami and Opel Rocks-E.

Green-minded people will like this vehicle better than today’s oversized SUVs that never leave the asphalt road – the battery is 94.6% smaller than the Tesla Model X, the weight is 81% less than the BMW iX and the top speed is below the urban limit. Not only that, but the two doors, if you choose the door version at all, are identical. So are the front and rear bumpers, which means that the manufacturing process has been greatly simplified.
It is already available for purchase in Italy and France, but it will reach the first Italians at the end of the year. By the way, it can be legally driven from the age of 14.
