Oppo, a company under BBK Electronics, which also includes OnePlus, Realme and Vivo, has brought two new smartphones from the Reno10 series to the Czech market. At the same time, the Chinese manufacturer promises the greatest success from the cheaper Oppo Reno10 5G model, whose advantages we will now describe.
He wants to be liked, but he doesn’t dazzle with his durability
Despite being a mid-range device, the Oppo Reno10 5G is presented as a camera phone, thanks to the deployment of a 2x telephoto lens. It is specifically a 1/2.74″ large 32Mpx Sony IMX709 RGBW sensor, with which Oppo worked even further to increase the amount of incident light and at the same time reduce noise in the resulting images. A special surface treatment of the lens was also used to eliminate light artifacts. the back also features a 64 Mpx 1/2″ primary sensor and an 8 Mpx ultra-wide-angle lens with a range of 112 degrees.
The front camera is then classically found in the opening of the 6.7″ AMOLED display, which promises a 120Hz refresh rate, fine Full HD+ resolution, but also HDR10+ certification for streaming services Netlix and Prime Video. The display is also curved on the sides and should have a 93% screen ratio to the body, the bottom frame is specifically only 2.32 mm thick. The angle of curvature of the sides is 56 degrees, and from short impressions it can be confirmed that the device is pleasant to hold and control.

Also, the back is slightly rounded and we find a matte glass on them, which is supposed to resist scratches and does not stick to it (visible) prints. You can look forward to Ice Blue or silver-grey Silver Gray from the color options, but it is disappointing that the resistance certification is only according to IPX4.
Power from MediaTek and 67W charging
In terms of hardware, the novelty will offer a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, which is complemented by 8 GB of RAM with the option of expanding it by up to 16 GB, which the device borrows from storage. Its capacity is 256 GB, and the fact that the novelty also supports microSD memory cards is pleasing.
However, the Oppo Reno10 is also confident in the area of charging, where it promises to charge the integrated 5,000mAh 67W battery from 0 to 100% in 47 minutes and to 53% in 20 minutes. On the other hand, the absence of wireless charging freezes. At least there are stereo speakers with an increased volume mode.
The Oppo Reno10 Pro is identical to the Oppo Reno10 model in most aspects, but it will offer a different processor, specifically the Snapdragon 778G with 12 GB of RAM, and it also has an interesting certification from the TÜV SÜD institute, according to which the phone should be “reliable even after 4 years of use” . This model has 80W wired charging, but a slightly smaller 4,600mAh battery and slightly better photo equipment, where all the sensors are from the Sony workshop. The 32 Mpx selfie camera (IMX709) also has automatic focus and the primary 50 Mpx sensor (IMX890) has optical stabilization. Unfortunately, for both models, the manufacturer guarantees only one major Android update, but 4 years of software support.
Price and availability
The novelties are currently already on sale for 11,590 CZK for the Reno10 5G model, 15,390 CZK for the better equipped Reno10 Pro 5G.
