Developer Limited Run Games wants to re-release the three Gex platformers on PC, Switch, and PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The three games focus on a gecko that travels to the Media Dimension. The games appeared between 1995 and 1999.

The developer uses its Carbon Engine to be able to port the old games to modern hardware. A release date has not yet been announced, but it is clear that the games must appear for the Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series consoles. The game will also be available for purchase on Steam.

The first Gex was a sidescrolling platform game, but the two later games were playable in 3D. The developer of the games was Crystal Dynamics. Square Enix is ​​involved in the games as a trademark holder. In the game, the witty gecko Gex has to escape from the Media Dimension, which is in Gex’s TV.
