Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio gave an ominous update on Thursday evening about the possible transfer of Tijjani Reijnders from AZ to AC Milan. The dismissive attitude of the Alkmaarders would have given the Italian top club doubts by now.
Di Marzio writes that the Rossoneri’s most recent bid for the 24-year-old midfielder dates from last Tuesday (July 11). AZ would have been offered a basic amount of 19 million euros, which could increase further through bonuses to a maximum of 23 million euros. However nice that amount is, according to Di Marzio this offer has also been swept off the table by AZ.

Bearing in mind the continuous rejections from Alkmaar, the policymakers in Milan would now consider switching to an alternative to Reijnders, Di Marzio continues. “They could come back to Yunus Musah from Valencia,” the journalist writes. “It costs around 25 million,” adds the Italian.
Beukema
With Sam Beuekma, AZ has now let one basic player from last season leave. The defender moves to Bologna for an amount of 7 million euros. That club will play the first match of the new season against Milan, Beukema already philosophized aloud earlier this week about the possibility that he could face Reijnders in that match. Still, the defender already had his doubts at that moment: “Knowing Max Huiberts, he won’t let many players go”, he remarked. Perhaps he will be right.
