Penalty Shoot-outs Dominate at the Sparkassen-Versicherung-Cup in Bauerbach

Four players in the starting eleven who are 19 years old or younger: For years, the district upper division club VfL Dreihausen has been one of the clubs that repeatedly introduce youth players to the senior team. This was also the case on Thursday evening at the Sparkassen-Versicherung-Cup in Bauerbach. “It was clear to me from the start that we would gradually raise the young players,” says VfL coach Anton Jencik. Bastian Krysostan and Paul Michanikl already played in the district league in the last round. The club is counting on it to rejuvenate the team on the one hand and to give the young players match practice on the other. “The boys make us better,” says Jencik.
