Variable Weather Patterns Ahead: Weekend Forecast and Temperature Changes

But there are some bright spots, according to the meteorologist. Among other things, it is difficult to crown a clear weather winner, and the best weekend weather will be distributed fraternally.

– Southern Norway will have a nice day on Friday, which will be the nicest day in the near future for southern Norway, says on-duty meteorologist Eldbjørg Moxnes to Dagbladet.

Because already on Saturday, a low pressure thunders in, and makes the fun short-lived.

On Saturday it is Møre and Romsdal, Trøndelag and Nordland that will have the nicest weather, and on Sunday Troms and Finnmark will have their turn.

Otherwise, it will mostly be unstable, and beyond next week, mostly everyone will experience low pressure that comes and goes.

– It seems that northern Norway will have the longest periods of stay, but it is still a bit uncertain, says the meteorologist.

Cut in half

In the north, there have recently been temperatures of around 30 degrees in several places.

Wednesday was the hottest at Slettnes lighthouse and Berlevåg Airport, both of which recorded 28.8 degrees – the hottest measurement at the former measuring station since 1964, according to the meteorologists.

Hottest in the country

In Northern Norway, the weekend will start with a soft transition to around 20 degrees, before the temperature will be in almost free fall down the scale.

– Next week there will be a completely different type of weather, and it will drop towards 10-12 degrees. It will be a real change of weather, says Moxnes.

No high pressure in the binoculars

In southern Norway, temperatures will remain at approximately the same level as they have been in recent days, with around 18-20 degrees in cloudy weather, and somewhat higher if the sun peeks out.

Trøndelag and Western Norway will get a little colder.

The high summer temperatures seem to be thanks and goodbye for this time throughout the country.

– It does not look like there is any stable high pressure going on with us, says Moxnes.

But in the water, the temperatures should mostly stay the same.

In the Oslo area, sea temperatures are around 19-22 degrees, Southern and Western Norway around 17-20 degrees, Nordland 14-18 degrees, while Troms and Finnmark have something for everyone with their range of 12 to 18 degrees.

– I think the temperatures will hold for a while. But it will gradually decrease now when it gets colder in northern and central Norway, says Moxnes.
