Hradec Králové reports a new reinforcement in the defense, Votroky will start from the new season with a footballer who has been involved in the team of the famous Italian Serie A participant Atalanta Bergamo.
David Heidenreich is definitely leaving Atalanta Bergamo, he will start in the Czech Fortuna League for FC Hradec Králové. He signed a contract with the East Bohemian club valid until June 30, 2026.
Last season, Heidenreich was on loan from Atalanta in Jablonec, for which he played 20 league matches. However, he will no longer operate in the north of Bohemia, he is moving from the Apennine Peninsula to the Manchaft of Králové Hradek.
„After my hosting in Jablonec ended, I thought about what to do next. I was very interested in Hradec, I have a really great feeling about all the meetings. I am looking forward to being able to start for him,“ said the talented footballer for club website.
The 23-year-old native of Ústí nad Labem starts primarily in the position of stopper, although he can also handle the post of left full back. For the defense of Hradec Králové, he should be a welcome reinforcement and a great revival of the defense components of the East Bohemians.
How does he like his new job? “It’s a likeable fierce team that pursues its goal – I was very interested in that. I can see myself and from the outside that the cabin is healthy, it is going for success. I hope that together we will build on the previous seasons,” Heidenreich stated.
He also started comparing Italian and Czech football. “The Czech league is specific in that it emphasizes physicality, whether it is running or fighting, everything must be at maximum intensity. Abroad, the technical-tactical side of the game is more important,” the player believes.
Heidenreich left for Italy in 2016 from Teplice, where he also played as a guest in 2021, as well as at the Italian club SPAL. He only played for Atalanta in the junior selections, he never made it to the A-team and therefore did not even play in Serie A.
The 191-centimeter tall defender definitely has the potential to improve at his age, after all, he already showed in Jablonec that he can become an excellent league stopper. And who knows, maybe some other foreign engagement awaits him in the future.
