The arrival in Toulouse on Friday April 21 of the Lyonnais rapper Millésime K, known for his closeness to the far right, is strongly criticized by the Federation of the Socialist Party of Haute-Garonne which calls for the cancellation of the concert. The PS highlights the singer’s “calls to hatred and violence”.
Millésime K is this rapper in a suit and tie, originally from Lyon, who triggers strong opposition from associations, parties or unions at each of his visits. At issue: its links with far-right theses.
The PS 31 is stepping up, before the concert scheduled for Friday, April 21 in Toulouse, in a place kept secret and announced at the last minute:
Let’s not let the rapper Millésime K perform on April 21 in Toulouse in a concert hall during his “Patriote” tour. Millésime K uses rap culture to spread its openly racist, sexist, homophobic and transphobic ideas. His texts multiply calls for hatred and violence.
Haute-Garonne PS Federation
It’s almost a habit at each stage of the rapper’s tour. Parties, associations or unions are asking for the concert to be banned, like a month ago in Montpellier.
The socialist party of Haute-Garonne joins this mobilization and condemns the organization of the Millesime K concert in Toulouse. We ask for the cancellation of this event and call on the prefecture of Haute-Garonne as well as the town hall of Toulouse to take the necessary measures.
Haute-Garonne PS Federation
The Millésime K concert scheduled for March 10 near Grenoble was finally canceled, again under pressure from anti-fascist associations and unions.
On his web page, the rapper indicates that he wants to “meet his audience and see if there are still real patriots left in France”, and that “tricolor flags are of course welcome”. For the moment, tickets are still on sale, but the location of the concert is not indicated.
