Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Asus launched the latest Zenfone 10 flagship at the end of last June. The Taiwanese manufacturer has provided its newest cellphone with flashy specifications.
The price is relatively inexpensive for a flagship size, starting at 799 euros or the equivalent of Rp. 13 million. With high specifications and affordable prices, this cellphone should be able to sell well in the market.
However, some analysts predict that the Asus Zenfone 10 will find it difficult to compete amidst the current tight competition in the smartphone industry. Moreover, the sluggish smartphone market has encouraged manufacturers to continue to pamper consumers with tempting offers.
Even though the price offered by the Zenfone 10 is quite competitive, there are 4 things that could be the weak points of this HP, quoted from GizchinaWednesday (12/7/2023)
First, Zenfone 10 has a small screen size at a time when the HP trend is trying to present a jumbo screen. The Zenfone 10 screen measures ‘only’ 5.92 inches with AMOLED type and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The density is 445ppi.
The specifications are flashy, but the screen size is similar to the iPhone 12 and 13 mini series, which in fact failed on the market.
Secondly, the Zenfone 10 has a standard battery capacity. While many manufacturers sell high-capacity batteries, Zenfone still enjoys using a capacity of 4,300 mAh.
Third, Zenfone 10 will likely have a heat problem. Indeed Zenfone 10 already uses coils to reduce heat.
However, it is feared that the small screen size with the jumbo chipset can cause heat when running heavy applications for a long time.
Fourth, the relatively minimal Zenfone 10 camera resolution. Apart from that, while other manufacturers are showing off three rear cameras, the Zenfone 10 still feels comfortable using a dual camera.
ZenFone 10 specifications
Asus has equipped the Zenfone 10 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is the best innards on the market today.
Zenfone 10 also has a dual camera on the back each offering a resolution of 50MP and 13MP (ultrawide).
Even though the resolution is fairly standard, this cellphone embeds OIS technology with a gimbal which is claimed to make video recording and photo taking much more stable.
Apart from that, the video recording capability also supports resolutions up to 8k at 24fps. On the front side, the selfie camera is mounted on a punch hole container with a resolution of 32MP.
