Less financially, 3F Holding, the company of the Zouari-Niel-Pigasse trio has already undertaken to raise its proposal: “we will submit a revised offer”, affirms Matthieu Pigasse to our colleagues from ‘Echos’. The day after a meeting in Bercy between management, creditors and potential buyers, the business banker clarified on a daily basis: “we are in a partnership logic open to all without condition of level of capital holding. We have heard the comments and We are ready to develop our offer”.

“Basically, our project is really different from that of Daniel Kretinsky… Our objective is to make the most of our locations and our brands, which are of unparalleled quality. Our aim is, in particular, to increase the number of business per square meter which is now lower than that of other competing brands”, notes for his part Moez-Alexandre Zouari. “The pivot of the 3F offer is banking on improving operational efficiency with 3,000 hires, lower prices and the development of own brands, up to 40% of sales as at Carrefour”, underlines ‘Les Echos ‘.

The newspaper specifies that the proposal made by the duo Daniel Kretinsky and Fimalac of Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière will also be improved without saying more.

On the government side, the Minister of Economy and Finance indicated that the two recapitalization offers are solid and that it is not up to the State to take sides. “Two proposals have been made, both proposals are solid, but it is not up to the state to take sides for one or the other,” Bruno Le Maire told the National Assembly on Tuesday. The State will nevertheless be vigilant on the impact on employment and the solidity of industrial plans.
