This is a first that may call for others. The Department of Moselle has opened and inaugurated a Family Care Center in Thionville, in partnership with the Moselle Committee for the Protection of Children, Adolescents and Adults (CMSEA). This “MAF” is intended to be a place of resource for existing host families, a friendly place where they will find documentation, parenting support, advice and help in using educational tools. The tool, financed by the Department (400,000 euros) and piloted by the Specialized Family Placement Service of the CMSEA, could be extended to other territories, following this first experiment.
