The head of the Association of Football Players of Ukraine, Oleg Pechorny, in a commentary to 1927.kiev.ua, said that the negotiations of former players and coaches of FC Lviv on repayment of wage arrears by the club had reached an impasse.

– We tried to find the president of the club FC “Lviv” Kopytko Bogdan Iosifovich – he is somewhere abroad. The players’ contracts were signed with his son-in-law Vadim Levchuk. Two weeks ago, our Olympic champions recommended contacting his son Yuri Kopytko, who is the president of the wrestling federation. We negotiated with him – six players and two coaches: Alexander Rybka, Yaroslav Bogunov, Sergey Siminin, Bogdan Mishenko, Roman Nikityuk, Maxim Grisio and Anatoly Bessmertny and Roman Pakhalyuk. Yuri Kopytko promised to come to an agreement for two weeks, and on that day everything came to a standstill.
We wanted to resolve everything calmly, without scandals, but we are forced to declare: if within ten days the players and coaches are not paid off, then we turn to law enforcement agencies to initiate a criminal case against FC Lviv and the son-in-law of its owner, who signed these contracts . First – to the Prosecutor General’s Office, then – the tax office will check the club. We will not yield in this matter, as the club is obliged to pay off its debts to the players and coaches. To date, law enforcement agencies are doing a good job. I think they will help in resolving this issue and establishing the rule of law,” Pechorny said.
