PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto spoke about the planned meeting of the PDIP Ketum Megawati Soekarnoputri with other general chairmen of political parties (political parties). Hasto also spoke about the relationship between Megawati and Gerindra Ketum Prabowo Subianto.
“Ms. Megawati is now focusing on the movement to overcome stunting and also all party cadres, the three pillars of the party have been instructed to encourage re-planting of ten rice companion plants because we received information from the BMKG, against the threat of a long drought so that is what Ms. Megawati Soekarnoputri did, monitoring almost every week on the progress of planting rice companion crops, progress to put forward green economyprogress on stunting and also how to encourage research and innovation, this is what Megawati is doing,” Hasto explained to reporters at the PDIP DPP, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (11/7/2023).
Regarding the planned meeting with political party chiefs, Hasto said Megawati assigned the party’s DPP board to develop political communications to the outside. Later, Hasto said, a meeting with Megawati would be held if it focused on support for Ganjar Pranowo.
“To meet with political parties, Mrs. Mega has assigned Ms. Puan Maharani, then there is Mr. Said Abdullah, there is Mr. Olly Dondokambey, and I am to continue to build political communication,” said Hasto.
“So that when I later meet with Ms. Megawati Soekarnoputri, everything has already converged on support for Mr. Ganjar Pranowo,” he continued.
Hasto also said that the leadership built by Megawati is a dialogue leadership. Moreover, said Hasto, dialogue is to face challenges in driving progress.
“So the leadership that was built by the PDI Perjuangan, by Megawati Soekarnoputri, is a leadership that is in dialogue, there are no barriers between leaders, especially when this nation is facing challenges in pushing for progress in all aspects of life,” he said.
Hasto also spoke about the last dialogue that Megawati had with Prabowo, when he was summoned by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to the State Palace. Furthermore, Hasto considered that Megawati’s meeting with national political figures, including Prabowo, was a very good thing.
“Ms. Megawati Soekarnoputri’s last dialogue with Pak Prabowo was when Pak Jokowi was summoned to the Palace, so the meeting was very conducive,” said Hasto.
“The PDI Perjuangan considers that the meeting between Megawati and national political figures including Pak Prabowo, Pak Airlangga, and Pak Muhaimin, was a very good thing,” he continued.
