From the ‘mom jeans’ to the ‘boyfriend jeans’, or the wide fit to the high waist: there are plenty of jeans on the market. Only, they were never really made with the over-65s body in mind. Let’s do that, they thought at Lee Cooper. And so the ‘boomer jeans’ saw the light of day.
Jeans come in endless shapes, models and sizes. No wonder it is often such a difficult task to find the right one. Models such as the ‘mom jeans’ or the ‘boyfriend jeans’ want to facilitate this: the name is also the promise of the model. One is a little masculine. The other comes with extra freedom of movement.
We can do that again, they said at Lee Cooper. From now on, thanks to the jeans brand, we also speak of a ‘boomer jeans’. One for all graying beauties who were born just after the Second World War, or for those who want to feel like such a ‘boomer’ for a day.
‘Cruise ship casual’ and above all comfortable
What does that mean, such ‘boomer jeans’, we hear you sigh. Nothing new under the sun? You got that right. But according to Lee Cooper, it was about time that a jeans model came on the market that really served the needs of the over-65s. Comfort above all, according to the brand. But at the same time pants that look neat.

Their ‘boomer jeans’ are therefore made of cotton and have a looser, jogging-like look that makes them comfortable for any activity. Yet the jeans also look classy, thanks to the slim fit. And the cord closure is the nice wink. No fiddling with buttons and you also look ready to board a cruise ship.
The pants are also unisex. Handy for those who want less in their suitcase for that cruise ship. Or simply for those who are too old to care about gender boxes or to strictly guard the boundaries of their own wardrobe.
Also for the youngest (yes, really)
Another plot twist: Lee Cooper also releases the ‘boomer jeans’ in the children’s collection. “Easy to move in, easy to put on yourself, so ideal for the smallest denim enthusiasts,” they write.
Whether boomers will enjoy being tarred with the same brush as children remains to be seen. Well, maybe “young at heart” is the only common factor. And it certainly ensures that grandma, grandpa and grandchild can have a nice ‘twinning’ moment.

The ‘Boomer jeans’ are now available from Lee Cooper for 89.95 euros. The children’s version costs 49.45 euros.
