Cairo Firefighting Operations had received a report from the management of a famous bank in Al-Khalifa Al-Mamoun Street in Heliopolis, that a limited fire had broken out in the external unit of the bank’s air conditioning on the third floor, which led to the burning of the window and a small part of the building’s facade.
Immediately, civil protection men moved to Cairo, and the fire was dealt with, and the forces succeeded in extinguishing the rising fumes without injuries, after the bank was evacuated from customers in order to preserve their lives.
Initial inspection revealed that the fire was caused by a piece of cloth falling from the ninth floor on the bank’s external air-conditioning unit on the third floor, which led to the failure of the air-conditioning fan and the outbreak of a fire in the external unit.
