9 cases against the elderly and shops were investigated

After an investigation by police officers of the Preveza Security Department, the details of three local women were identified, against whom a case file was filed for aggravated theft.

In particular, as it emerged, the defendants had joined together to commit thefts using the employment method, targeting mainly the elderly and shops.

From the analysis of their action, it was established that they were involved – with a different composition each time – in a total of 9 cases from January to June of this year, namely:

• 3 against elderly women, from whose homes they took a total of approximately 2,000 euros and jewelry,
• 1 against an elderly pedestrian, from whose trouser pocket 300 euros were taken,
• 3 in convenience stores, from where they removed products and
• 2 in clothing stores, from where they removed 200 euros and products.

The file will be submitted to Mr. Preveza Criminal Prosecutor.
