There are dozens of people who on Sunday afternoon witnessed how the bullets ended the life of a man in the La Campiña neighborhood.
At about 3:30 pm, subjects on a motorcycle arrived in the neighborhood and near a bakery, the one who was a barbecue man drew his firearm and finished off his victim. As quickly as he got out of the vehicle and fired, he got back in the vehicle and fled with his accomplice. The victim was left lying on the platform. Her blood surrounded him and then the neighbors and passers-by who crowded in to see who it was. The Police arrived and cordoned off the crime scene, but have not provided details of what happened, nor the identity of the man; however, El Universal learned that they called him ‘el Peluca’.
He, apparently, was next to a motorcycle and when he saw his executioner arrive, he managed to run; He collapsed after a few meters, which the gunman took advantage of to shoot him.
About Vergel, who died in the clinic, after receiving the bullets in Blas de Lezo, his family confirmed that he was a student of Dentistry at the Rafael Núñez University, and although he had not completed his degree, due to his abilities he was already working as an official of the ESE Local Hospital Cartagena de Indias.

“He was a healthy guy, we are not problems. He was alone when he was shot and we do not have a version to know for sure what happened, ”said a brother of the victim to El Universal.
