O Counter-Strike 2 it’s still under development, but the big question for players is whether they’ll be able to run the game. Valve hasn’t officially made the minimum requirements available yet, but the Argentine youtuber, Znorux, made a video to show the performance of CS2 without a dedicated video card (GPU) like the ones from Nvidia e AMD.
The content creator points out that CS:GO is not as balanced, that is, it uses much more of the processor than the video card, so many PCs without a dedicated GPU are able to run the game. In CS2 and with the new graphics engine, the developer managed to balance the functioning of the CPU with the GPU, but the game consequently becomes heavier.
Znorux used an Intel i5 13600K processor and with the CPU’s integrated graphics card. Right off the bat, the initial test is daunting with the game recording 22 FPS, but all in the highest quality and 16:9 resolution. The CS2’s performance is amazing when changing the resolution to 4:3 and putting all video settings to prioritize performance, jumping to an average of 70 FPS (see video below).
