The regional ceremony for the raising of the national colors was held at the Industrial Professional Training Center (CFPI-B) in Bobo-Dioulasso on July 4, 2023. It was in the presence of Prime Minister Apollinaire Kyélem de Tambèla accompanied by some members of the government and administrative, customary and religious authorities of the Hauts-Bassins.
It is exactly 7:30 a.m., in the courtyard and outside CFPI-B, everyone has paused, staring at the flag, singing the national anthem, the Ditanyè, on the occasion of the regional rise of colors national. This flag which imposes so much respect “shows us the sense of dignity, that we have a common destiny and a single country to defend”, affirms Me Kyélem de Tambèla. This ceremony, each month, should not be a routine, without impact deep inside us, he wishes. Above all, it should not be a meaningless folkloric act, he insists.
For him, what is currently happening in Burkina is “somewhat the fault of the parents, the educators who perhaps did not know how to instill a sense of homeland in all these young people at the appropriate time”. The example of fighting spirit of Princess Guimbi Ouattara and Téfo Amoro must inspire us in the fight for the sovereignty of our country, according to the Prime Minister. Mariama Konaté/Gnanou, Secretary General of the Hauts-Bassins region, on behalf of the governor, maintains that it is a feeling of joy and pleasure that drives her on this day. She said that the presence of the Prime Minister and members of the government, in addition to the regional governors and all the guests is a real mark of consideration, guests whom she greets in passing.
It should be noted that the Industrial Vocational Training Center of Bobo is a public state establishment of a scientific, cultural and technical nature created in December 2016. Its mission is to develop sufficient qualified expertise in the industry environment and is at its 6e promotion, informs Bakary Millogo, Director of the establishment. The next regional ceremony for raising the national colors will be held at the Regional Health Directorate.
