European aircraft manufacturer Airbus is planning a brand new wing design to make greener aircraft. In this way, the company puts its American competitor Boeing to the test.

In the news: Airbus has opened a new Wing Technology Development Center (WTDC) at its Filton site in the United Kingdom, as part of a program called Wing of Tomorrow (WoT).

The facility will be used to build and test machines for a range of research programs
