In the state of Chihuahua, textbooks for the 2023-2024 school year have already begun to be received, reported the Ministry of Education and Sports (SEYD).
It was indicated that up to July 6, one million 313 thousand 503 free textbooks had been received, which represents an advance of 32.34 percent of the total of these didactic materials destined for Chihuahua.
At the national level, it emerged that the books that are being distributed to the states are those that do not comply with the content review ordered by a federal judge after a provisional suspension granted to the National Union of Parents (UNPF), which demanded the review. of the texts.

However, yesterday the head of the SEYD in the state, Sandra Elena Gutiérrez Fierro, did not answer a call to specify if it is the same material.
Through a press release, the SEYD detailed that for the 2023-2024 school year in Chihuahua 4 million 061 thousand 883 free textbooks will be distributed, of which 120 thousand 191 correspond to preschool, 2 million 373 thousand 349 to primary , one million 369 thousand 120 to secondary and 199 thousand 223 to telesecundaria.
It is indicated that, according to information from the Directorate of Programming and Budget of Educational Services of the State of Chihuahua (SEECH), in primary education one million 290 thousand 438 copies have been received, which represents an advance of 54.37 percent.
The books that have arrived at the entity correspond to the first, second, third and fourth grades of primary school, and according to the national calendar, next July 20th, 100 percent of the reception of these grades will be completed.
Regarding telesecundaria, 23 thousand 065 free textbooks have been received, which represent 11.58 percent of the total materials destined for this educational modality.

The National Commission for Free Textbooks (Conaliteg) provided a distribution schedule in the states, in which it contemplates that after August 20 some copies would be arriving in Chihuahua, in order to complete the remittances for educational levels.
