According to the official Russian legal information portal, the Russian government has approved the loan granted to Hungary for the construction of the Paks nuclear power plant units.
It is noted that Russia will provide a loan of up to 10 billion euros for the construction of units 5 and 6 of the Paks nuclear power plant.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said: “The Hungarian government demands that other countries do not try to obstruct the Paks-2 nuclear power plant project, which is being built with the participation of Rosatom.”
According to Szijjártó, Hungary has so far managed to ensure that the nuclear industry is not subject to sanctions. At the same time, he noted that sanctions exist not only in writing, but also in writing.
The diplomat reminded that some countries are still trying to block the Paks-2 project, and Hungary sees these moves as “attacking its sovereignty” and “protracting obstacles to energy security investments”.
