Merve Tuncel won the gold medal in the 800m freestyle final with a time of 8:35.10 at the European Junior Swimming Championships held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, between 4-9 July.
On the other hand, Sudem Denizli broke the Turkish record for the age of 17-18 with a time of 1:01.97 in the 100m backstroke and became the 6th in the final swimming success, while Kuzey Tunçelli placed 3rd with a time of 7:52.39 in the 800m men, breaking the Turkish record for age 15-16.
