Government Plans to Sell Majority Stake in Airline, Attracting Interest from Lufthansa, Air France KLM, and IAG

The government plans to sell between 51 and 85 percent of the airline. Conditions for the sale are the seat on the supervisory board, the promotion of the Portuguese economy and the preservation of the Lisbon hub. Some companies are already interested in the purchase, such as Lufthansa, Air France KLM and IAG. Companies from outside the industry had also expressed interest.
